Normally, you wouldn't expect much from someone fresh out of music school that only started writing two year ago. But New York-based jazz major Elliott sounds like an old pro on her debut. She not only sings and plays the piano on these vivacious, toe-tapping jazz/pop numbers, but also writes and arranges all the music too. Her seductive, sweet and soulful purr is complimented nicely by her smooth, proficient backing band, especially the velvety, understated horns (courtesy of trumpeter Tatum Greenblatt and tenor saxophonist Dylan heaney). The live-in-the studio recording adds to the immediacy making this an ideal accompaniment for a late-night candlelight dinner-just makesure your date ignores her lyrics on "Leave"! And try to see Elliott at a local club before the swanky, pricier ones discover her talents.

07.01.07 | EP on it's way!
So I'm almost finished with my EP which will be featuring 7 original songs of mine...I guess it could almost be an album but that's ok, you'll just be getting your money's worth when you buy it! I'm about to finish mastering next week with Aaron @ The Bunker Studio and then it's onto artwork. I'm planning on having it done by the end of the summer and then we can all get together for a good time at the cd release! I'm very excited to share it with everyone and I hope you're all enjoying your summers!
